[Intro: spacey arpeggio, reverse cymbal] (look-look, turn around!) [Verse: lilting melodic rap] They point their telescopes into the night Hunting for a distant little light I turned mine backward toward the ground And saw a universe in things around [Pre-Chorus: soft ascending thirds] A galaxy inside a leaf A solar system in belief [Chorus: soaring bright harmonies] I'm a backwards telescope Finding galaxies in hope Every tiny little thing Has a universe to sing (ooh-ah, look again!) You can chase the stars above I'll find infinity in love [Drop: pitched chops, 808 melody] (zoom-zoom, flip-flip!) [Glitch breakbeat] [Outro: whispered] The cosmos was here all along.
