[Verse 1] I still count the cracks in the moon And wonder who put the stars there But I can read the room when it darkens I know when my hands should be still [Pre-Chorus] Curiosity can open a door It doesn't get to kick it down [Chorus] Keep the wide eyes, keep your word Let the strange be seen and heard I can build a paper crown Then take it off when work comes round Wonder isn't getting your way Growing up means choosing what to do [Verse 2] I give the storm a ridiculous name Then check the roof before it rains I laugh at a cloud shaped like a fish And own the mess I made at lunch [Pre-Chorus] A question can be brave and kind A tantrum just makes the answer small [Chorus] Keep the wide eyes, keep your word Let the strange be seen and heard I can build a paper crown Then take it off when work comes round Wonder isn't getting your way Growing up means choosing what to do [Outro] The moon has a pocket, I swear I leave it alone And go wash the paint from my hands
