[Verse 1] Your old coat hangs behind the door Like you might come back once more And all the almosts, all the names Still ask me to relive their frames [Pre-Chorus] But I can’t keep the doorway wide For every life I left behind [Chorus] Goodbye to the loves I knew Goodbye to the ones I never got to You can rest now, I’ll be alright I’m taking my own hand tonight Goodbye, goodbye, I’m letting go There’s room ahead for me to grow [Verse 2] A letter with no place to send A summer that would not begin I bless the roads we didn’t take And set down what I couldn’t make [Pre-Chorus] I won’t turn back to prove I’m whole I’ll give that kindness to my soul [Chorus] Goodbye to the loves I knew Goodbye to the ones I never got to You can rest now, I’ll be alright I’m taking my own hand tonight Goodbye, goodbye, I’m letting go There’s room ahead for me to grow [Outro] You can rest now I can walk on
