[Verse 1]
Serial numbers scratched, stamped with red ink
A hairline fracture in the titanium link
They threw out the copper, said the heat tolerance failed
Discarded the alloy where the weld mark was paled
I gathered the scrap from the scrapyard floor
The warp-engine casing they pushed out the door
Every hairline stress seam, every crooked brass vein
Was cast off as garbage in the pouring rain

[Pre-Chorus]
No inspector would sign off on this frame
No blue-stamped ledger would record its name
But the standard equations only measure the past
And the pristine vessels were not built to last

[Chorus]
We are flying in a ship built of rejected parts
With heavy syncopation beating through these warped steel hearts
Harmonic counter-strands woven in the bend
A polyrhythmic hull that will not fracture or end
Warping through the static to a uncharted sphere
Every flaw in the frame is why we’re living right here
Complex threads aligning in the dissonant glow
We leave the old inspection in the dust below

[Verse 2]
The gyro-scope stutters by a quarter degree
It doesn't point north, it points past what we see
The cockpit glass is cracked, splitting light into three
Reflecting new colors on the star-charts and me
If we were sealed perfect, we would burn in the draft
It’s the gaps in the solder that save this whole craft

[Outro]
Across the event horizon, bright and clear
The cast-off metal brought us all the way here
The voyage begins where the blueprints end
Imperfect, ascending, around the bend
