The Odd Little Spark

[Verse 1]
I made a map from the cracks in the sidewalk
Named every cloud that looked like a fish
You called it odd; I called it a doorway
A little more room for the world to exist

[Pre-Chorus]
I tried to fold my edges in
But they kept drawing something new

[Chorus]
I’m strange, and I’m staying that way
I make my own shape, I make my own day
Too loud, too curious, wonderfully wrong
I turn what doesn’t fit into a song
I’m strange, and I’m glad to be
The odd little spark that belongs to me

[Verse 2]
I keep bent spoons and half-built inventions
A pocket of colors no one can name
You bring your questions, I’ll bring my sketches
We’ll make a fine mess and sign our names

[Breakdown]
No small box
No borrowed skin
I let the weird
Come walking in

[Final Chorus]
I’m strange, and I’m staying that way
I make my own shape, I make my own day
Too loud, too curious, wonderfully wrong
I turn what doesn’t fit into a song
I’m strange, and I’m glad to be
The odd little spark that belongs to me

[Outro]
The odd little spark
That belongs to me
