Bless You, Let Go

[Verse 1]
To the ones I loved before,
I can say your names without turning back.
We were true for the time we had;
that time has ended, and I honor that.

[Pre-Chorus]
Some goodbyes arrive years late,
Some never get a date.

[Chorus]
I release the loves behind me,
I release the ones I’ll never know.
You were real; you changed me.
I can bless you and still let go.

[Verse 2]
To the almosts I kept alive,
To the faces that passed me by,
No blame in the life we didn’t share,
No debt for the days that weren’t there.

[Pre-Chorus]
I won’t make a promise out of ache,
Or call a chance a choice we didn’t make.

[Chorus]
I release the loves behind me,
I release the ones I’ll never know.
You were real; you changed me.
I can bless you and still let go.

[Bridge]
Halfway through the unsaid words,
I lay them down; I let them blur.
There’s tenderness in what can’t stay,
And still, I turn toward today.

[Final Chorus]
I release the loves behind me,
I release the ones I’ll never know.
You were real; you changed me.
I can bless you and still let go.
I can bless you—
And let go.
