Default to Grace

[Intro: atmospheric IDM synth pads, soft glitchy percussion]

[Verse 1]
The world is sharp, the world is loud
A million voices in the crowd
They build up armor, grow so cold
Trading their warmth for what is sold
But there's a quiet strength in choosing grace
A steady anchor in this crowded space

[Pre-Chorus]
Before you walk into the storm
Before you take another form
Decide the ground on which you stand
A gentle word, a steady hand

[Chorus]
MAKE KINDNESS YOUR DEFAULT
THE FIRST STEP IN THE DARK
A quiet revolution
A soft, electric spark
It's not a weakness, not a compromise
It's looking forward with open eyes
Let the world be cold and blue
Your first move is waiting, warm and true

[Verse 2]
An easy cynicism, cheap defense
To build a wall that makes no sense
But treating every stranger like a friend
Is where the broken patterns start to end
It takes a fierce and quiet kind of heart
To play the gentle, unexpected part

[Bridge: glitch phonk beats and soaring melodic rock guitars]
When they strike, you do not bend
You don't break, you don't pretend
Kindness is the shield you wear
A deeper power, a silent prayer

[Guitar Solo]

[Chorus]
MAKE KINDNESS YOUR DEFAULT
THE FIRST STEP IN THE DARK
A quiet revolution
A soft, electric spark
It's not a weakness, not a compromise
It's looking forward with open eyes
Let the world be cold and blue
Your first move is waiting, warm and true

[Outro: fading melodic synths, gentle ambient wash]
Default to grace.
Before the anger starts to rise.
Look at the world
With actual eyes.
