[Verse 1] Every bright idea keeps asking for my name I stand among the options while they flicker into flame Each one has a promise, each one has a cost I keep rehearsing choices till the afternoon is lost [Pre-Chorus] Then I hear my own voice under all that noise Not a perfect answer—just a living choice [Chorus] I choose this day, I choose this ground Let the other good roads turn around I can be afraid and still begin A life gets real when I step in [Verse 2] Some paths will stay beautiful, untouched and full of light I won’t call them failures just because I chose tonight The first small yes is trembling, but it still belongs to me I’m done asking every future who I’m supposed to be [Chorus] I choose this day, I choose this ground Let the other good roads turn around I can be afraid and still begin A life gets real when I step in [Outro] This one, this one—I’m living it now
