[Verse 1] I don't want a smaller heart Just because a larger one gets messy I don't want to fear connection Because connection sometimes tests me Every person brings a question Every closeness changes shape Sometimes love becomes a shelter Sometimes love requires escape [Chorus] Keep the door open But learn where to stand Love everybody Without losing your hands You don't have to own the future You don't have to fix the past Just be grateful for the people Who make something in you last [Verse 2] I have tied myself in circles Trying not to disappoint Trying to make every relationship Reach some perfect meeting point But some people are a lifetime Some are chapters, some a page None are worthless just because They couldn't follow to the next stage [Bridge] So I'll love without demanding That each love become the same Different fires give different warmth But every fire has a flame [Outro] Keep the door open Let the good come through The heart can stay enormous Without losing sight of you
