[Verse 1] You keep the key to a house that’s gone Dust on the frame where the old maps hung Every familiar road runs out Still you circle the block in doubt [Pre-Chorus] The ground won’t wait for your permission A door swings wide; make the decision [Chorus] Let the old world turn to dust Take the step because you must What you lose can make you room Cut a path and drive it through Move your life beyond the line Leave the rust and claim your time [Verse 2] You learned those rules when the walls were new They held you then; they can’t hold you A worn-out script in a careful hand Can’t tell you where you’re meant to land [Pre-Chorus] The ground won’t wait for your permission A door swings wide; make the decision [Chorus] Let the old world turn to dust Take the step because you must What you lose can make you room Cut a path and drive it through Move your life beyond the line Leave the rust and claim your time [Bridge] Drop the weight you call a promise Set your feet where the road begins No more living in the margins No more asking who you’ve been [Final Chorus] Let the old world turn to dust Take the step because you must What you lose can make you room Cut a path and drive it through Move your life beyond the line Leave the rust and claim your time [Outro] You are not the place you came from Take the step; become someone
