[Verse] Concrete jungle heartbeat strong Another day another song Stuck in the mud trying to get by Watching all the big birds fly [Prechorus] But a feeling's brewing deep inside Nowhere left for me to hide [Chorus] Up from the ashes a phoenix takes flight Burning so brightly chasing the light No looking back no turning around King of the city wearing my crown [Verse 2] Shadows dance on every wall Heard the whispers saw me fall But a little spark a tiny flame Calling out my brand new name [Prechorus] The rhythm's pumping in my soul Losing all my self control [Chorus] Up from the ashes a phoenix takes flight Burning so brightly chasing the light No looking back no turning around King of the city wearing my crown
