[Verse 1] Some mornings I know exactly who I am and what I need. By evening every certainty is tangled up with doubt and greed. I can argue both directions, make a case for every road. Too many truths inside me and they all demand control. [Chorus] There’s static between answers, noise between the yes and no. Every part of me is certain that the other parts should go. I want freedom, I want duty. I want comfort, I want change. I want everybody near me, then I need to get away. [Verse 2] And I hate when my confusion turns into somebody’s pain. They deserve a steady shelter, not my constantly shifting rain. [Bridge] Maybe wisdom isn’t certainty. Maybe clarity takes time. But I can own the consequences while I sort out what is mine.
