Today Is Always a Good Day

[Verse 1]
Today is always a good day
To put some love into the world
Call somebody you miss hearing
Tell them what they’re worth

Open up the kitchen window
Let the morning find its way
Leave a little kindness waiting
For whoever needs it today

[Pre-Chorus]
One small spark from me to you
Can turn a gray sky blue
No grand plan, no perfect sign
Just a little love in time

[Chorus]
Today is always a good day
To put some love into the world
Lift it up and pass it onward
Let it circle every turn
Today is always a good day
Say the words you mean to say
If you’ve got a heart still beating
Give a little love away

[Verse 2]
Hold the elevator open
Share the last seat on the train
Write a note beside the coffee
Someone’s bound to need the change

When the headlines feel like thunder
And the room is running cold
Be the hand that keeps reaching
Be the story people hold

[Pre-Chorus]
One small spark from me to you
Can turn a gray sky blue
No grand plan, no perfect sign
Just a little love in time

[Chorus]
Today is always a good day
To put some love into the world
Lift it up and pass it onward
Let it circle every turn
Today is always a good day
Say the words you mean to say
If you’ve got a heart still beating
Give a little love away

[Bridge]
Love is not a prize to keep
It gets brighter when it’s free
Put your shoulder next to mine
Make a little room to breathe

[Final Chorus]
Today is always a good day
To put some love into the world
Lift it up and pass it onward
Let it circle every turn
Today is always a good day
Say the words you mean to say
If you’ve got a heart still beating
Give a little love away

[Outro]
Give a little love away
Today is always a good day
