Build The Wings On The Way

[Verse 1]
Step off the edge into open air
No safety net, no blueprint there
The ground is fading out of sight
Shadows falling into light
Clipped percussion, beat ticks fast
Leaving all the safety in the past
Tense rhythm pulling at the floor
Don't wait around here anymore

[Chorus]
Build the wings on the way down!
Find the strength before you touch the ground!
Build the wings on the way down!
Feel the sky turn around!
Syncopated gravity, taking control
Action shapes the heart and soul!
Build the wings on the way down!

[Verse 2]
Wind in the face, seconds tick by
No time to question or ask why
Fingerprints tracing the empty space
Feathers forming at a frantic pace
Locked in motion, no turning back
Fretless groove tracking the track
Emerging power born in the fall
Answering the ultimate call

[Chorus]
Build the wings on the way down!
Find the strength before you touch the ground!
Build the wings on the way down!
Feel the sky turn around!
Syncopated gravity, taking control
Action shapes the heart and soul!
Build the wings on the way down!

[Bridge]
Odd-meter shift, sudden turn
In the fire of momentum we learn
You don't need to know the end to start
Just trust the beating of your heart
Break the silence, split the air
The sky was waiting everywhere!

[Chorus]
Build the wings on the way down!
Find the strength before you touch the ground!
Build the wings on the way down!
Feel the sky turn around!
Syncopated gravity, taking control
Action shapes the heart and soul!
Build the wings on the way down!

[Outro]
Soaring now, high above
Rising on the strength of what we love
Built on the way down!
Built on the way down!
Touch the sky!
