Food Court Fever

[Verse 1]
I love the mall at noon
Shoes squeak on the floor
Orange pretzels in a bag
And a sale sign by the door

Kids race past the fountain
Sunglasses on their heads
I know I came for one thing
Now I’m three bags deep instead

[Pre-Chorus]
Take my hand
We’re not in a rush
Try that jacket on
Tell me it’s enough

[Chorus]
Mall day, mall day
I could stay all day
Mall day, mall day
Let me drift away
(Stay all day)
Mall day, mall day
Every aisle feels right
Mall day, mall day
We can shop till night

[Verse 2]
The escalator hums
Like it knows my name
Perfume in the air
And a silver arcade game

Hot fries in a paper tray
Laughing by the glass
We say one more lap around
Then we pass the same store fast

[Pre-Chorus]
Take my hand
We’re not in a rush
Try that jacket on
Tell me it’s enough

[Chorus]
Mall day, mall day
I could stay all day
Mall day, mall day
Let me drift away
(Stay all day)
Mall day, mall day
Every aisle feels right
Mall day, mall day
We can shop till night

[Bridge]
Let the afternoon roll slow
Under bright skylines of glass
I like how the whole place glows
When we’re wandering past

[Chorus]
Mall day, mall day
I could stay all day
Mall day, mall day
Let me drift away
(Stay all day)
Mall day, mall day
Every aisle feels right
Mall day, mall day
We can shop till night
