[Verse 1] The forecast folds against the glass Your hands are cold around the cup The road sign points through miles of fog And still the morning gathers up [Pre-Chorus] You don’t have to see the whole way through Just take the next small step you can do [Chorus] When the farthest hill hides the sun Hold on, the day is still begun When every answer slips away Hope is the choice we make today [Verse 2] The phone stays quiet on the stair The plans we drew have come undone But you are here, and I am here Two steady hearts against the unknown [Pre-Chorus] You don’t have to carry all the miles Just breathe with me a little while [Chorus] When the farthest hill hides the sun Hold on, the day is still begun When every answer slips away Hope is the choice we make today [Bridge] If the map is blank, we’ll mark the ground If the old bridge falls, we’ll turn around No promise that the clouds will part Just your hand, and this stubborn heart [Final Chorus] When the farthest hill hides the sun Hold on, the day is still begun Though every answer slips away Hope is the choice we make today Hope is the choice we make today [Outro] One step, then one more We’re not alone at the door
